Elekahia Market Cleanup
On July 9, 2026, the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix, District 9141, launched the 2026-2027 Rotary Year with a sanitation and hygiene drive at Elekahia Market. Under Club President Rtn. Vivian Okonkwo and this year’s theme “Create Lasting Impact,” the club cleaned the market and donated bins, rakes, brooms, safety gear, and customized aprons to traders. The initiative highlights how healthy markets support healthy communities, and sets the tone for a year focused on Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus.
Rotary Clubs Donate Critical Healthcare Supplies to RSUTH
Four Rotary Clubs in District 9141 donated medical equipment (an Electronic Suction Machine and an Autoclave) alongside expectant mothers’ delivery kits to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital in Port Harcourt.
Led by Presidents Vivian Okonkwo, Nengi Princewill, Becky Anielozie, and Mimgba Tamuno-Opubo T., the initiative supports Rotary’s core focus on maternal health and disease prevention.
