6th President Inaugural Fellowship

The Inaugural Fellowship of the Club’s 6th President.The Fellowship marked the beginning of the 2025/26 New Rotary Year.Congratulations to the members of Rotary Club of Portharcourt Phoenix and to the Promax President.

Pre-installment project at Rivers FRSC

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix successfully deployed a pre-installation project at the Rivers State FRSC Sector Command on July 4, 2025. Key highlights include:- Alignment of project objectives with FRSC leadership- Strengthening of Rotary-FRSC partnership for sustainable road safety interventions- Commendation from the District Governor for the club’s proactive steps- Sector Commander’s gratitude and promise to collaborate on road safety educationThe project reinforces Rotary’s commitment to road safety and community wellbeing.

2025 Installation

The just Concluded 6th Presidential Installation Ceremony held on the 11th July 2025.The event was attended by Rotarians, Family, friends, Guests, Rotaractors and Interactors The ceremony featured the Installation of Rtn. Chidinma Lilian Okoroha PHF as the new President of the Club, Flag Parade of our past Presidents, Induction of 5 new members, Inauguration of Board of Directors and conferment of Awards.

Business Meeting

The Rotary Club of Port-Harcourt Phoenix held their first Business Meeting for the 2025/2026 Rotary Year on Thursday 24th July, 2025 at King Edward’s Suite, Port-Harcourt.The meeting was a huge success as the club members discussed and took important decisions that will impact the club positively. The club approved the Resolutions taken by the Board of Directors at their BoD Meeting.The occasion of the Business Meeting was also a learning opportunity for the new Rotarians as they learnt more about the procedure and processes of the club and Rotary generally.However, the highlight of the Business Meeting was the presentation of theInstallation Report by the CPC chair Rtn. Vian Chizurum Pedro.The club accepted the Report.Finally, other issues concerning the club were also addressed as the polio boxes were given to Rtn. Jerus Uvieghara and Rtn. Garden city Promax Governor installation

Members of the Rotary Club of Port-Harcourt Phoenix lead by the Promax President, Rtn. Chidinma Lilian Okoroha were fully present at GARDEN CITY PROMAX DISTRICT GOVERNOR INSTALLATION held at EUI Event Centre in GRA, Port-Harcourt on Saturday 26th July, 2025.It was an awesome day of celebration, Decoration of the new DG, conferment of merit awards to outstanding clubs and individuals. An amazing night of music, dance and comedy and raffle draws. Maternal and Child Health Project

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix and four other Rotary clubs implemented a Maternal and Child Health Project in Rundele community, providing:- Training for Traditional Birth Attendants- Donations of delivery materials and a phototherapy machine- Insecticide-treated nets for pregnant mothersThe project aimed to improve maternal and child health in the community.

Peace Monument Commissioning

The Rotary Action Group for Peace and District 9141 Rotary clubs unveiled a Peace Monument in Port Harcourt, featuring:- Golden hands releasing a white dove- Inscription: “PEACE – ACT NOW FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD”- Collective pledge for dialogue, inclusion, and non-violenceThe event was attended by district leaders, community leaders, and partners, symbolizing unity and commitment to peacebuilding.

Outdoor Fellowship Report

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix held an outdoor fellowship with:- Rotaractors in attendance- Surprise dinner by Rtn Glory Utoro- Recognition of Polio Champion Rtn Stella Ekwelie (₦1,000,000 raised)- Polio advocacy and box drop-off- Celebrations for September birthdaysThe event combined service, fellowship, and commitment to polio eradication.

Back to School School Project

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix’s Back-to-School Project:

  • Provided 30 indigent students with full school kits (bags, uniforms, shoes, socks, and books)
  • Removed barriers to learning and restored dignity
  • Strengthened school partnerships and promoted literacy

By supporting these students, the project empowered them to attend school with confidence and enthusiasm, paving the way for a brighter future.

Zonal Peace Fellowship

The Rotary Zone 25 Joint Zonal Fellowship celebrated the International Day of Peace with:- Theme: “ACT NOW FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD”- Keynote speaker: PDG Nze Anizor on “Positive Peace in Practice”- Focus on localizing the 8 Pillars of Positive Peace and inter-club collaborationThe event aimed to promote community harmony, conflict prevention, and service synergy across Port Harcourt.

Independence Day Fellowship

Polio Outreach

HEALING HANDS IN UMUNWAEWU‑OBOKWU OZUZU: ROTARY CLUB OF PORT HARCOURT PHOENIX TOOK FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH TO OVER 250 RESIDENTS 🌍💙In Umunwewu‑Obokwu, Ozuzu Etche, the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix, with partners MedEvents by Chi, Godify Towers & U.C. Devo, delivered free medical services to over 250 residents. Services included consultations, BP & vital checks, eye screening, blood sugar testing, drug dispensing, health education, and critical‑case support. Solar Powered Borehole Project

*A FLOW OF HOPE: ROTARY CLUB OF PORT HARCOURT PHOENIX SUPPORTS UMUNWAEWU‑OBOKWU OZUZU COMMUNITY WITH A SOLAR‑POWERED BOREHOLE*The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix commissioned a solar‑powered borehole in Umunwewu‑Obokwu, Ozuzu Etche, delivering clean water to over 3,000 residents. The sustainable system replaces unsafe sources, saves time, and improves health. It embodies Rotary’s values of sustainable impact, community ownership, and service above self. Port Harcourt Family of Rotary Celebration

Port Harcourt Family of Rotary Celebration 2025 brought Rotarians, families and friends together on 14 Dec 2025 at the Port Harcourt Polo Club. Prompted by the District Governor, clubs shared food, vendors offered local fare, and the afternoon featured comedy, music, games and cultural entertainment. The event reinforced Rotary’s fellowship, strengthened inter‑club bonds, and showcased that service extends to nurturing relationships and community spirit. A resounding success for District 9141.
